Schools and Community Working Together to
Enhance Student Success
The purpose of the Foundation, a non-profit charitable community organization is 1) to solicit, manage and distribute funds and resources for the benefit of Mesa Public Schools and its students; 2) to further the development and welfare of children within the boundaries of Mesa Public Schools, through activities which are exclusively charitable, educational, or scientific or that otherwise qualify under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or corresponding provisions of any future United States Revenue Laws).
Need funding for an innovative project that supports student success?
Mesa Public Schools Foundation supports teachers, counselors, and other MPS staff by awarding innovative projects through the innovation grant program. Each innovation grant project aligns directly with the Foundation’s mission and vision, MPS strategic goals, and the MPS portrait of a graduate. Each grant recipient is awarded up to $2000 to use toward an innovative project that supports MPS student success in and out of the classroom.
Any MPS employee or MPS student group (with a MPS teacher-sponsor) is eligible to apply.
Applications are closed for 2023- 2024 Innovation Grants. All grant recipients have been notified.
The 2024-2025 Innovation Grant Application will open in early Fall of 2024.
Notification of the application opening will be posted on our website and in the Mesa Agenda.
